FAQ

Have some questions?

We're here to help. Everything you need to know about Flywheel Motion.

What actually is Flywheel Motion?

A growth engine for people and organizations doing work that deserves to be found. We build the whole system — the platform underneath, the brand and site on top of it, the properties people actually see, the network wiring them together, and the ongoing work that compounds all of it. Five layers, one flywheel.

Is this an agency?

No. Agencies rent you their attention for as long as you pay for it. We build owned infrastructure — your platform, your properties, your network position — that keeps working and keeps compounding. The engine is ours; what it produces is yours.

What is an "attention property"?

Anything you own that holds someone's attention: a site, a publication, a video channel, a newsletter, a tool. Not a social account you rent from a platform that can change the rules on you overnight. Owned, custom-built to whatever the work needs, and wired into every other property in the network.

Who is this for, and who is it not for?

It is for people already doing the work — investors, policy architects, climate scientists, conservationists, clinicians, designers, advisors — who are under-known relative to what they have built. It is not for anyone who wants visibility without substance underneath it. There is no version of this that manufactures a reputation you have not earned.

How long before anything happens?

The build lands in weeks. The compounding takes longer, because that is what compounding means — search engines and AI systems reward authority that accumulates, and accumulating takes months, not days. Anyone promising you a spike in a fortnight is selling you a spike, not a flywheel.

How fast can you actually launch something?

A fully built MVP in 72 hours, not the three-to-six-month norm at a traditional agency. Andi Cross's own site went from nothing to live — and to a top-three branded search ranking — inside a week of launch.

Do I own my site and my data?

Yes. Every property is owned by the member, never rented from Meta, Google, or OpenAI. If a platform changes its algorithm or its policy tomorrow, your visibility, your audience, and your data are still yours.

Why does AI keep coming up?

Because it is now deciding who gets found. People increasingly ask an AI system rather than scroll a results page, and those systems favor networks of credible, reinforcing, verifiable content. Most teams are still optimizing for a version of the internet that is quietly being replaced. We build for the one that is arriving.

Can AI systems like ChatGPT actually find and cite my work?

That's the point of the infrastructure underneath every property: semantic content and entity annotations built so generative answer engines can reliably cite you, not just index you. Most brands are still working out how to enter that category at all.

What is the Personal Brand Score (PBS)?

Our own 0–100 metric, benchmarking a member across four dimensions: Visibility (where you appear), Content (what you publish), Authority (whether others endorse you), and Growth (whether your brand is driving outcomes at an accelerating rate). It's a measured starting point and a quantified path forward, not a badge.

What is the Accelerant Framework?

Our method for finding and scaling the right members: unpack the real question, map who is visible and who is not, find who is actually succeeding against the odds, diagnose the one thing standing between their work and scale, deploy resources against that single move, analyze what worked, and replicate it in the next region. It restarts every time with a higher baseline of evidence than it started with.

What actually happens when one member has a win?

Every member's properties share topic clusters and earn entity co-citation, so a ranking, a citation, or a mention for one member raises the authority of everyone else in the network at the same time — through editorially justified relationship links, not automated cross-linking. There is no single hub carrying the others — the network is the product.

Is any of this pro bono?

Yes. We're part of 1% for the Planet, and a meaningful share of our work is pro bono — it's how organizations with no visibility budget get to prove the platform works before they're ever asked to pay for it.

What does it cost?

It depends on how much of the flywheel you need built and how much already exists. There is no menu price, because a scientist with nothing but a university page and a fund with an established brand are not the same job. Start a conversation and we will be straight with you about scope before anyone talks numbers.

How did Flywheel Motion start?

From a three-year research expedition across more than 50 countries, interviewing thousands of leaders doing critical climate and conservation work. Almost none of them had the digital systems to scale their influence, attract funding, or build partnerships outside their own field. Flywheel Motion is the platform built to close that gap.

Can I nominate someone else?

Yes, and people do. If you know someone whose work deserves to travel further than it currently does, nominate them. We would rather hear about the person heads-down doing the work than the person best at telling us about it.
