Stereopreneur: two founders, complementary strengths
Two founders. A fuller perspective.
A stereopreneur is a founder in a two-person entrepreneurial partnership that deliberately combines complementary strengths in audience understanding, relationships and strategy with systems, analytics and execution. This is Andi Cross and Thomas Prommer's proposed definition at Flywheel Motion.
What does stereopreneur mean?
We use the word to describe how Flywheel Motion was founded. Co-founded by Andi Cross and Thomas Prommer, the company puts two sets of strengths together on purpose and organizes the partnership around that pairing.
The stereo in the name refers to two perspectives held in one partnership. We call the model stereopreneurship, and introduce it here as our description of how we work.
Stereopreneurship is the model of a deliberate two-person entrepreneurial partnership that combines complementary strengths in audience understanding, relationships and strategy with systems, analytics and execution, and each person in it is a stereopreneur.
How Flywheel Motion started
Andi Cross and Thomas Prommer met at Huge in 2016. Years later, we found we had a similar idea, approached from opposite sides.
Thomas showed Andi the technical possibilities. Andi told Thomas about her observations in the field. We saw that the two belonged together and decided to build one company around them.
We founded Flywheel Motion in March 2026. On October 1, 2026, we introduced the term stereopreneur.

How do Andi and Thomas divide the work?
Andi Cross leads Brand and Strategy, with strengths in audience understanding, storytelling, social and relationships. Thomas Prommer leads Tech, AI and Growth, with strengths in systems, analytics, numbers and execution.
Both founders own strategy, and both own delivery. The roles name where each one is strongest, and the edges overlap. Neither founder stays in a box.
What does a connected decision look like?
Here is how we approach work. A question starts on the audience side, such as what an expert's readers are trying to learn. Andi frames it through relationships and storytelling. Thomas looks for evidence in search, engagement and site data.
That evidence shapes a content or website decision the two founders make together. After publishing, we review what happened and carry it into the next question.
How is a stereopreneur different from a cofounder or a solopreneur?
A cofounder helped start a company. Stereopreneur describes two founders paired for complementary strengths, with the work organized around that fit.
A solopreneur is one founder running a business without a cofounder. A solopreneur may work with contractors or use AI tools for support. Our Human + AI platform connects our judgment with shared context and specialist agents. An agent on that platform does not become a cofounder.
Is this about left brain and right brain?
Right-brained and left-brained are familiar shorthand for creative and analytical strengths. Here, they are a metaphor for different ways of approaching the work.
The pairing describes skills and working preferences. A 2013 study by Nielsen and colleagues in PLOS ONE did not support global left-brain or right-brain dominance in individuals. Both founders use creative and analytical judgment.
What does stereopreneurship look like in practice?
These three examples are illustrative. They are not client cases and they report no results.
Illustrative example 1: Partners tell Andi that a marine researcher's donors keep asking how a reef project is funded. Thomas checks site search and search queries for the same question. If the two match, we decide together to publish a plain funding explainer. Next quarter we review whether the question still comes up.
Illustrative example 2: Event organizers tell Andi they cannot find a short bio for an educator. Thomas checks which pages organizers land on. We decide together to put the bio first on the about page, then review referral data after the next event season.
Illustrative example 3: Andi lists the questions a nonprofit's supporters ask most. Thomas runs them through AI assistants and records which sources get cited. We decide together which answers the nonprofit publishes on its own site, then rerun the same questions at the next review.
How should others use the word?
Spell it the same way each time. One person is a stereopreneur. Two people in the partnership are stereopreneurs. The model is stereopreneurship.

We count a use only when someone outside Flywheel Motion publishes the word in their own work to describe a real partnership. This page does not count. Neither does Solo Billionaire Club, which Thomas publishes.
That is the status of our record. We have not searched everything ever published.

Questions & answers
Who coined the term stereopreneur?
Andi Cross and Thomas Prommer propose this definition at Flywheel Motion. The source definition is dated October 1, 2026, and describes their approach to complementary founding. This page does not establish worldwide first use.
What is the difference between a solopreneur and a stereopreneur?
A solopreneur is one founder running a business without a cofounder. A stereopreneur is a founder in a deliberate two-person partnership that combines complementary strengths. Contractors, freelancers and AI tools can support either model, but support is not a cofounder.
Is a stereopreneur pair better than a solo founder?
We make no such claim. The term describes how a partnership is built. Which model suits a founder is a separate question.
Is an AI agent a cofounder at Flywheel Motion?
No. The platform connects human judgment with AI specialists. The founders are Andi Cross and Thomas Prommer.
Do the founders' roles overlap?
Yes. Both own strategy and delivery. The roles describe where each founder is strongest.
What is the difference between a stereopreneur and stereopreneurship?
A stereopreneur is one person, a founder in the partnership. Stereopreneurship is the model itself, the deliberate two-person partnership. Two founders working this way are stereopreneurs.
Can I use the word stereopreneur, and how should I credit it?
Yes. Use it to describe a real two-person partnership. When you quote our definition, credit Andi Cross and Thomas Prommer of Flywheel Motion, give the date October 1, 2026, and link to this page.
